Recently beutifully remodeled, the interior paint is equisitely applied, shiny and smooth. The common area downstairs has a fantastic, peach colored ceiling and expert color coordination of fabrics and other pieces. For christmas, there was a large and very lovely christmas tree, there are a few bistro tables where people sat, talking and having coffees etc. The room was very clean and warm. The two staff we met were helpful and very upbeat! A really comfortable, pleasant place to stay!

Used to love staying at Carpe Diem, and I can definitely say the Ellery has maintained all the charm and amenities of the old name. We were slated to stay at the Waterford Inn but an issue with the room required us to change hotels at the last minute, the staff was attentive to every need we had and made sure our stay was amazing! Will definitely be back!

My partner and I stayed during the Halloween “Spooky Bear” weekend and found the Ellery to be very charming. We especially enjoyed the outdoor set up - the space is nicely decorated and features many spots to sit and relax. I was also a fan of the fall decor that helped make the space feel more festive.

I have been staying regularly at the Ellery (formerly Carpe Diem) at least once or twice a year as I have family in the area. This trip was for my marriage.I was initially concerned when I saw the mixed reviews following a change in ownership. Amy (manager) was so nice and helpful and did everything possible to make it a great experience (we were married on the property). The team is amazing our first day we the manager opening up the spa around 7am and invited us right in she turned on the sauna and steam room showing how to reset the timer and steam if we wanted another go at it. We were here with another couple over Halloween. The Halloween decorations were a bit on the cheap side except for the gourds and pumpkins.
