Patient safety concern. I was scheduled to establish care and was checked in, roomed, and had vital signs taken. Due to an internal administrative issue regarding provider assignment, I was then denied care and escorted out without being evaluated by a provider. At the time, I was seeking care for asthma-related symptoms. Initially was having difficulty setting up an appointment for my mother who lives in Wisconsin, but needed to see a primary care provider while staying in Tucson. After several calls, I reached Rochelle L. who was so helpful. She was very clear on how to make these arrangements and made notes in the file to reflect that I had made the necessary arrangements with the insurance company.
