I had the unfortunate need to be at the ER and everyone at Union went above and beyond. From the moment I walked in and said my doctor told me to go directly to the ER, they took me and most importantly, took me seriously. Very nice people!
I'm literally Hating the Doctors and staff here at cmc union in monroe nc Dr.Boulos, and suezanne the palliative nurse. They killed my sister ,mae Beverly Blakeney she came in the hospital by ems on February 1st just for a Broken hip ,she came through surgery just fine with no complications, then she had a stroke while being in the hospital unattended and not monitored, Dr.Boulos made the Decision Her life wasn't Beneficial anymore him and suezanne the palliative nurse, so wanted to turn her over to Hospice, and Bc I wasn't ... read more
Horrible experience all around. Disorganization and miscommunication amongst the medical staff, and an overall lack of humanity towards patients. The staff is slow to talk about diagnoses but quick to ensure they have your billing information correct so they can strangle every last penny out of ya.
My father was brought to Atrium Union after falling due to severe dehydration and low heart rate. Dr. Reddy was his attending and he was excellent. Compassionate and attentive. Cardiologist Dr. Zimmerman was also terrific. Where Atrium falls short is the care from the floor nursing. My sisters and I stayed by his bedside 24/7 because if we didn’t, my father (who had Alzheimer’s dementia) would not have eaten or drank anything.
