I have been trying for over a month to get a refund for two upfront payments that I was required to make prior to having imaging. This was required even though I have insurance coverage. Per my eob's, there was no patient balance due for either scan. As a matter of fact, on November 2, 2021, the amount that I was required to pay was more than the total bill for the scans. The billing department at CIS are so RECKLESS. They report my balance to debt collection, with out even calling me or sending me a bill. I always check myChart portal for my bills and pay as soon as possible. All I see at myChart is zero balance. They would not have done this if they can understand the impact of simply reporting a patience to debt collection/credit bureau with out any attempt of reaching out to notify the responsible person.

While the staff in the office were great, I have been overbilled by $408 due to an error with their payment plan system. Calling their billing department led to me being told that my account number had "been assigned to a different patient" that "I do not exist" and then being put on hold, and hung up on. The contact form on their website is pointless, I've filled it out 3 times over a month, to be ignored each time. Do NOT trust CIS, or Charlotte Radiology with your financial information.

While the staff were great, I have been overbilled by hundreds of dollars, and they refuse to contact me back.
