1-Star Review — Atrium Health ER, Monroe I visited Atrium Health ER in Monroe today for a finger injury that was ultimately confirmed by X-ray to be a hairline fracture. Unfortunately, the medical issue was the simplest part of the visit. The conduct and choices of several staff members raised serious concerns about professionalism, boundaries, privacy, and patient treatment. We had went to other medical facilities and no one diagnosed my son. He was getting worst and unable to walk. Five minutes at Monroe Hospital ER he was diagnosed and feeling a lot better. Stayed in the hospital for several days. Improved greatly. Care was great. Got to come home with out patient hospital care. I highly recommend Monroe ER. They are professional and excellent ER. We had such an incredible experience at the pediatric emergency department. Every single doctor, nurse, and staff member treated us with so much kindness, patience, and compassion during a very stressful time. They took the time to listen to our concerns, explained everything clearly, and made sure my child was comfortable and well cared for every step of the way. I went Friday because I was 4 weeks pregnant and having bleeding. I was at the ER from 7:00-9:30. I was waiting in the waiting room for what seemed like forever and all the receptionists were doing was standing around flirting/giggling with each other with no concern for the patients that were waiting in the waiting room.
