This company is a SCAM property company with false advertisement. I applied for an application and paid there fee only to find out they did not perform a background check. But sent a test with a denied response. I inquired why and for what reason their response was you've had several late payments. No where in there documentation says you can be denied for late payments but evictions. SO where did they get their information since they cannot provide the source? Carolina Moves does not follow their contracts or procedures, steals money from their clients, doesn't report tenant issues to owners, and neglects major problems that cause serious issues to your home. I do not recommend hiring them or working with them in any capacity.
This company is a joke. They keep properties listed even when they have already been rented out just to get more money from application fees! I will never deal with these people again.
The worst company on the planet to rent from. After 3 years of paying $2,450 per month in rent I get a text mesage to vacate right before the Labor Holiday weekend. I am told to get out (vacate) by October 1st. They must hate veterans as I am a retired US Marine and I have 30 days to find new quarters and they refuse to qualify me for any property that they have listed. I gave Carolina Moves a try to rent out my home and they were not able to rent out the house, nor did they ever seem interested in doing so, very weird due to the fact that they make money once a house is rented out. The house was on the market for 6 months and I was the only one interested coming up with ideas to draw attention from a renter when this is why you go to a property management company, so you don't have to do it yourself. My husband and I are relocating to Greenville,SC this fall and found a home on Carolina Moves website and applied. We worked with Martha Cervantes the leasing agent and it was the most horrible experience I have ever had with a rental company. My husband and I move every 1 to 2 years and have excellent credit, no criminal history and have an impeccable rental history and make the required 3X the monthly rent Carolina Moves requires. Carolina Moves is not taking serious and addressing continued problems I have with their tenant that rents house next to me. I filed a detailed complaint with the SC Consumer Affairs as well.
The worst company ever. I’m transferring from NY to SC they constantly ask for paystubs from SC I keep saying I’m not there yet. I gave them email from my boss, contact numbers from HR they don’t care it’s a joke. Took application fee from me and my wife and then said non refundable. What a joke I would have paid all 12 months up front, the first place I saw I’m still getting fleas off me. Do not do business with this company!

As soon as this rental house went online, my husband and I scheduled the first showing we could. It was for a Tuesday and we both work full time, so we had to both take time off work to do the showing. I left my job and drove to meet my husband at the house. I checked my phone and this company had cancelled our showing via text with an hour's notice. I work in the medical field and am not able to check my phone at work, so I had no way of knowing.
