Our property was great and our hosts were wonderful. We were very flexible with our dates and asked for the best possible rate since the property was openly available in both November and December. We were told our rate was the lowest they could give us. However, about a week later, the daily rate dropped dramatically --by hundreds of dollars with the same availability that was shown when we booked the property. Gross misrepresentation of property and amenities. The Internet WiFi did not work at all and therefore the TVs did not work. The dishwasher was broken and there were dirty dishes. The floors were filthy and the DVD player in main room did not work. They said probably because it "was old". Oh really? Not my problem. The company lied in their responses on Airbnb stating that they offer a resolution of $75 which of course was grossly unacceptable. I found my interactions with Carolina Mornings Rentals deceitful. After paying a non-refundable fee, I received emails telling me how to manage bears and that if I am allergic to bees, that I should bring my medication . . . if you are allergic to bees - this int the way you want to start your vacation. I alerted the property manager (Carolina Mornings) and they assured me that "they just have to send this" but that the "likelihood" of seeing a bear or encountering bees was slim.
