I really enjoyed my visit with Dr. Elias and his team and I usually don't like going to the doctor. I recently had open heart surgery. My old Cardiologist was good but he was just too busy to hear my concerns, so I asked my primary care for a referral. It took a few weeks to get in because of the holidays but it was worth the wait. Dr. Elias sat down, listened me and addressed every one of my concerns. He ordered some tests and we'll meet again in two months. He changed my meds and I feel much more like myself. My daughter was referred to Dr. Arun Nagabandi and was treated like a hypochondriac. She left his office in tears. Yes, she is only 30 years old, but she has MS and has won a battle with Cancer. She was sent to the office to check her Carotid for a mass. He told her he would test her for whatever she wants because he "gets paid for it anyway" and he ordered a bunch of tests just to be a jerk. All she needed was a Carotid US. This is unacceptable behavior from a provider.
My husband was diagnosed with Afib and had a follow-up appointment with this practice this week. They canceled and told him they couldn't see him until January 23, 2025. Even when I called to explain that he has been lethargic and short of breath, they would not get him in earlier. I was really shocked. Our Nurse Practitioner got him in with a great Cardiologist at MUSC and he already has an appointment for 11/27. This was unacceptable for this practice. We were very disappointed.
I have been going to this Dr office since 2009. Overall I have had good experience until this last appointment. July 2024, I had a sleep study. Which i needed an updated study so i could get a replacement CPAP machine. August 2024 I had my follow up for the sleep study. Went over the sleep study and that I needed a new CPAP machine due to it being old and I started having problems with it. I got my machine and supplies through Lincare. I have used them since 2016.
