Highly recommend this practice! Highly recommend this practice. In 2004 I had been suffering from multiple sinus infections for months. My regular doctor had already recommended that I see an ENT. That ENT (NOT CENT) simply checked out my sinuses and explained that I "have young children" rather than any chronic medical problem. A Wonderful Practice! I had an appointment earlier today with Dr. Heffron. Even though I was late for the appointment, the front office staff was exceptionally kind and welcoming. Dr. Heffron and his nurse, Nancy, were wonderfully professional and compassionate. Dr. Heffron explained what he was going to do and why. After his examination, my hearing was checked. Worst Experience Ever!! --Stay Away!!! Dr. Timothy Heffron ---- I had sinus surgery with this doctor and his practice, 1st the surgery did nothing to help me with the situation that I was experiencing as promised, 2ndly I was told there would be no medical packing in my sinuses as I had a pervious bad experience with that and there ended up being packing in my sinuses!! 3rdly, Dr. Heffron charged a co-pay for every post-op appointment which is highly unethical!!!! They treat you like family! Dr. Pugh did my sinus surgery in 06. I am a school teacher and had to see her many times over the past few years. They are always very prompt about seeing me and very kind and courteous. Dr. Pugh and her staff do a great job of diagnosing you and treating you properly with care and respect. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
Very Disappointing I was very disappointed with my experience at Carolina Ear, Nose & Throat, The ladies at the front desk seemed unorganized and more interested in chatting with others than helping me. While waiting in the exam room for the doctor could hear the nurses and doctors talking and laughing in the hallway about another patient, (which I found very unprofessional). Great Results!!! I also used Dr. Heffron for sinus surgery in August '06 and had wonderful results. I was very pleased with him and his staff. I was charged a co-pay for each post-op visit. I was surprised, but there is no way he could know how many times I would need to see him post-op. In my case I needed extra post-op visits. It has been over a year since my surgery and my sinuses have not given me any problems...no sinus infections or head colds...yea!!! I highly recommend Dr. Heffron.
A Wonderful Experience! My son had his tonsils and adenoids out this past Friday. What a wonderful experience! Dr. Pugh was very caring. Everything from the Wake Med North Hospital to Dr. Pughs wonderful bedside manner was outstanding. Dr. Pugh even called us twice on Saturday to check on our son. The office staff was also very helpful and patient with us. I would highly recommend CENT to any family.
Breathing is great!!!! Had sinus surgery in 7/7/00. Prior to surgery I couldn't breath through my nose and had almost daily headaches. Was told that I had allergy induced asthma and even had to use asthma inhalers. I had surgery to open my airways and my "sinus drainage channels". After surgery I went for allergy testing. Guess what? No allergies and no asthma. I was having trouble with my lungs because my nose was so blocked. Since having surgery I use a nasal antihistamine as needed for hay allergies. Unprofessional! While I was waiting in the lobby with a friend who had an appointment, the office manager came out to talk to a patient regarding their bill. The person was obviously embarrassed and asked if there was somewhere their bill could be discussed in private. The office manager said no and preceded to talk in detail about this persons procedure and what was owed. This was definitely a HIPA violation!
