It was different from any place I had ever stayed. Only stayed one night but would love to go back. It was unique.
The best place to stay north of Asheville NC is this little gem. Made totally the best by the owners Trevor and Maureen. Right next door is a great place to start the day for breakfast at Pig and Grits. For dinner, take the stroll up to the town square for several good choices for dinner. Always a pleasure to stay here, and I just returned from a night there this past Sunday night, April 1st, 2018.
Loved our stay this past June 2017. We were tucked away in the back of the building - amongst the large weeping willow tree. The staff was incredible and we look forward to having our friends and family stay here as well.
Loved staying there. It was quiet and just had that homey feel to it.
This is my favorite hotel to stay at in the area. If you need the Ritz, this is not the place for you. While this hotel maintains it's 50's facade, the rooms are updated with tiled showers and Wi-Fi. The beds are super comfy. The owners are awesome. As a woman traveling by myself hours from home, I always feel safe at the Carolina Country Inn. Good restaurants close by, Plenty of attractions within an easy drive. Feels like staying at your grandma's....it is that cozy. Love it.
Terrible place to stay. We stayed there this past weekend. Bed linen dirty. Bed's hard. Had to buy an egg crate and still awful. Shower dirty. Had to clean before using. Commode even dirty. No place to put your clothes or personal items. Room very small. Had to ask for hair dryer. Sun comes up so do you. Very dissatisfied. Paid $189 for 2 night's. Would have came home after 1st night, but require 48 hour cancelation. We have stayed at many places, but I can say this is the one of the worst, if not worst.
Very inviting and clean motel for a weekend getaway. Owners were very pleasant to chit chat with every day and there coffee is good. Will definitely be back. (:
