My doctor’s office had recommended Carolina Apothecary saying I could save money on my compounded drug. So I told her to call in a prescription for 300 mg of a medication and this pharmacy put them in a huge red pill. I called them the minute I got them in the mail and was told to try to swallow them by keeping my head down! I should have stuck with my original pharmacist, Keith, at Lewisville Drug, who said he would NOT do a 300 mg capsule due to the sheer size! Went in there yesterday to get a prescription filled, asked what it would cost said they had to fill it first and see what the insurance will pay. Came to $132, asked if they take GoodRx they said no. I went on Good Rx and CVS will fill for $55 bucks!!! Of course I had to drive to CVS in Summerfield but that's worth it. Shame on ya'll!
The employees are excellent! The pharmacists are always willing to help, and with a great attitude! As a consumer, you cannot do better than Carolina Apothecary! They may be a few pennies higher than chain pharmacies, but you get what you pay for at the chains. I will stay with Carolina Apothecary!
Wonderful, friendly, efficient staff. Was very helpful when there was a glitch with my insurance, got it straightened out, and actually issued me a refund. Always pleasant on the phone. In fact, I'm telling the nurse to stop sending some of the prescriptions to CVS! Much rather deal with Carolina Apothecary.
This pharmacy is so dependable. They are always open to answer any questions I may have, and believe me, I am a talker! They are always so patient and the delivery is always very prompt and Rob, my usual delivery guy, is so kind and polite. I won't ever change pharmacies because they don't make them any better than this.
Going there for so many many years.. recommend to anyone
