This past weekend I ordered delivery for carnitas and menudo. Overall everything was good except the menudo! As a Hispanic we know when the menudo isn’t prepped right because it had the most awful smell ever. When I opened it and tried it a bit , it was a total fail. I had to throw it out because I honestly didn’t feel safe eating it. I’m sure this platter doesn’t define the quality of carnitas uruapan but for sure the menudo was not it.

A Chicago staple for a reason. From the carnitas to the staff, everything was A1. The man behind the counter was kind and gave us samples as we waited. We got the Carnitas plate with came with chicharones, un taco de papa, carnitas, frijoles, salsa, tortillas, cebolla & cilantro, an agua fresca AND even a little paleta de caramelo… All for just over $10! You can’t beat it! Definitely recommend stopping to get yourself some lunch next time you’re in Pilsen.
