Now that AMC has taken over Carmike Riverstone, here's what you can expect: No ticket windows! Instead you have to buy your tickets at the Concessions stand, which makes you wait through a million other people buying popcorn and other crap. Of course, you can buy a "Premium" Status and presumably go to the head of the line. Or...OR.. you could go online and pay a $1.75 "convenience" fee for advanced tickets. THANK YOU, AMC, YOU TOOK AWAY MY CONVENIENCE AND YOU'RE GIVING IT BACK FOR A FEE. Your greed is showing.
Since the takeover, this has become one of the worst theater experiences. Usually long lines and you must buy tickets at the concession stand. If you only want tickets you are out of luck. I've seen people that have already purchased tickets on an app and still have to wait behind the popcorn and soda purchasers. What's the point in buying your tickets ahead of time here? Needs a make over not the cleanest theater Ive ever seen. How ever the concession stands were busting there Hetty orders out quickly. They were frief
So poorly managed. I typically love AMC theatres. Not only was the theatre FREEZING, but it was trashed. I had to kick trash out from under my feet when i sat down. The bathroom was disgusting as well. We asked multiple times for the heat to be turned up, but nothing changed. I never saw anyone working. The guy behknd the bar was on his phone. I am not one to review bad but this is an exception! The line is absolutely ridiculous and causes people to miss their movie due to the lack of employees and service. Make sure to go 45 minutes before your movie to actually get your ticket!!!
