Downtown where the action is! This movie theater is in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. It is an older theater that is starting to show its age. The parking is in the garage and your parking stub will be stamped for free parking. I feel a little spooky walking through the garage to my car after a late showing, They do run first run movies and it is usually not too crowded. PROS: CONS: older theater, parking garage

A theater downtown is worth something in itself While the Bijou is not one of the new megaplexes, it is so nice to have a movie theater downtown. Theaters are small and comfortable (no stadium seating or seats though) and the lobby can usually accommodate the crowd at hand. They also participate in the bi-annual independent film festival that AVA puts together. We love going for dinner downtown and then catching a movie.
