Meh. My 4th car, and least favorable interaction, from CarMax in that and the previous 59S Houston location. It's okay, not great or even very good. I wrote a gleaming review for the sales rep the day after my purchase but wish I hadn't. The sale, transfer, etc. were okay enough but the after-sale follow-up on promised make-ready items for the car required three additional trips to the lot. Buying a car shouldn't require five visits. AVOID CarMax!! Never go there to get your estimate. They intentionally underestimate your car, and their evaluation system is shared with 3rd parties. You found out how other potential buyers know about what CarMax offers you, and bargain with you using CarMax’s offer. You would regret you’ve ever gone there.

I had a great experience at CarMax on Southwest Freeway (6909 Southwest Fwy, Houston, TX 77074) and highly recommend my sales consultant, Andre WINN. i have two young kids on summer break, I didn’t have time to spend hours at a dealership.
