It's a great place to buy a car if you are not into haggling or dont know much about buying a car. Most people with bad reviews saying carmax is low balling their car either have way too much sentimental value or have not researched what their car is worth. when they say they researched, they research retail and private party, ignoring dealer trade in, not realizing they came to a dealer to sell their car. This was the first time i ever bought a car and KC at this location was nothing less then amazing. He made it very easy and spoke me through the process as well as answer every question i had. After spending countless hours searching and test driving at other dealerships i wish i would have went to carmax first!
Tim was my car salesman and being 6 hours away we got everything approved and taken care of over the phone. It was the best experience of a car salesman I’ve ever experienced. I will never go through another dealer ever again since experiencing this. I had awful credit but made good money and still was approved when my own bank wouldn’t even approve me I’ve had for almost 10 years going on. Read the negative reviews before moving forward with a purchase here and consider yourself warned. My car started to have issues about a month after I bought it. It started with the gears not shifting correctly. My battery stopped working, not once, BUT TWICE in 6 months. My check engine light continues to go on and off. I had to get a CO2 sensor replaced. I was looking for a good car with low miles at a reasonable price and Mr. Greg Leo went above and beyond helping me find a very nice car- we had taken care of most the paperwork before I ever got there and time spent picking it up was easy- I live in Whitehouse Tx almost 2 hours away. I am enjoying my car so much!!! I will go back to Carmax when I need another car!! They really do care about their customers and it was an awesome experience :)
