The Live Oak location is one of the worst. We get told one thing then get there and are told something different. They do not do what they say they will do, and they schedule appointments then the car salesman is not there. He is conveniently off, a fact he did not state to us. We come from out of town and the car that we were assured by a person and their own system, was there, was in fact not. If you are a serious car buyer, do not waste your time at this mediocre CarMax. It’s unfortunate how this unprofessional sales team, led by poor management really tarnishes the reliable CarMax name. This location sucks! All the negative reviews are accurate. If you reach out to CarMax, expect to talk to a different person every-time. Most of the people you speak with on the phone aren't even at this location! I had a car transferred to this location. It took forever with no updates. I reached out and was told the reason it was taking so long was because it needed some repairs. I asked what repairs but they could not tell me. I was told to call back the following day at 12:01pm. Swindlers. They get two thumbs down and negative star rating
If i could give zero stars that is what they would get! I bought a 2019 Mercedes from them for 37k (40 after taxes). Come to find out that the speedometer has been rolled back and also has an active lien on the car and it cannot be registered. I went in and they pretty much said i was crazy and they have started the registration process. I said you haven’t and can’t be done because of the Lien! although I did not purchase a vehicle with them, the customer service and responsiveness was unmatched, especially by Pam.
I went there to buy a truck and got a salesman who didn't have a clue what to do. The worst car buying experience I have ever had. I thought carmax was above that but I guess not. Don't recommend them, maybe spend money on training and less commercials. Ron
Since you apparently can’t post reviews. I’ll just comment it. 😒 Im sooo angry. This is my second car I’ve bought through you guys. I didn’t have ANY problems the first time. Different location though. 😒 Anyways, when I bought the car 1/2 keys were defective and they were supposed to order a new one and told me it would be a couple days.
