Son had major swelling in hand a few weeks after surgery. Instead of allowing me to visit the office, was asked to take pics, and advised me, in writing, to take the stitches out of his hand myself. Keep in mind, surgery was $45K and according to BCBS, they are required to provide this aftercare, free of charge at the surgeon’s office. Not go to an ER or dig under my son’s skin myself.
