I went to Dr. Alarcon for a prescription that I thankfully received. However, the nurse told me the doctor wanted to also perform a pap smear. I declined as I had did not feel comfortable, but the nurse stated if the doctor decided he wanted to, he would do so. She (the nurse) verified the doctor wanted to go ahead, and so the procedure was done. I left feeling very uncomfortable and have not returned.
I'm a new patient at this practice because my previous obgyn retired. Dr. Alarcon made my experience a pleasant one. He was very thorough, professional and knowledgeable, answered my questions and made sure I understood everything from start to finish.
I highly recommend Dr. Alarcon! I have been coming here for the past five years and always have a great experience. Dr. Alarcon is kind and willing to answer any questions. I drive from Birmingham just to come to this practice because of how professional and courteous both Dr. Alarcon and the nurses are.
