not straight forward, not empathetic, not clear with his oncology patients, I would not recommend going to him.

I've known Dr. Becerra for many years on a personal level, and knew of his professional career, but never had to receive any medical attention or advice. This all changed when I was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer in late 2019. While I was hesitant at first because of my personal relationship with Dr. Becerra, he was very patient with my adjustment to treatment and kept me motivated and well informed throughout the process. When it comes to ones life, first contact to an Oncologist is essential. I am sure Dr. Becerra is a fine Oncologist and I would have loved the chance to find out. However, after calling the scheduling department twice and dialing for a 3rd time I finally got a return call. The scheduling assistant sounded very put out that I had called twice, and then after talking to her I was told that Dr. Bacerra was out of touch and would not return until the next week.
