I feel like they place too many barriers to getting care here, especially for self-pay patients. Needless to say, I sought care elsewhere.

My procedure has been cancelled twice, after months of waiting, with last minute notice, and no apology. Had I known earlier, I would have scheduled my procedure elsewhere, and would not have wasted time and money on a consultation. Complete lack of empathy is the standard at Carle.
My husband and I both are absolutely thrilled with the care that I received from Dr. Stams and his team, and the care I received from everyone that took care of me after surgery In the hospital. I won’t go into all the details of what happened to me after surgery, but will say that my blood pressure went crazy after I was out of surgery, and I was admitted into the hospital to get everything under control.
