I am in extreme pain. I was refered to Carle for oral surgery but they refuse to help me because I dont live in Champaign county. Carle wants my help when the roof is leaking but they can't pull some teeth for me when I'm in pain because i live 40 miles away. I thought they take an oath to help people.
Everything that everyone hates about healthcare exists here. If you have Medicaid, you should absolutely seek care elsewhere. I had a consult more than 6 months ago, and I just now heard back after calling multiple times (8 times I think?) that they can’t verify my insurance because of a technical error. I had a fairly minor biopsy done yesterday. It was led by Jessica McGee. She and her team were friendly and made sure I was comfortably supportive during the procedure along with making sure I understood post-biopsy instructions. I cannot speak to the long term outcome but so far it is healing as expected. I am also following the post-biopsy guidelines to ensure proper healing.
