Dr. Carl diagnosed me with 'birthing hips' when I complained of pain in my knee. The X ray technician noted a 'foreign body' in my knee, and he still ignored it. I found a new doctor (with whom I have a great relationship and enjoy immensely.) and had knee surgery within the month, removing a very prominent piece of scar tissue that had been causing me issues. Dr. Carl had been my doctor for many years at this point, and while his care had been disinterested at best. This is bad doctoring.
We left Dr. Carl's practice because we felt like he never listened to our concerns (he was always very focused on his computer when he talked to us). I got bloodwork done there and was told I had high cholesterol, but he never acted on that issue. In contrast, at our new practice, the doctor immediately called to schedule an appointment to talk through actions, treatment and medication. At Dr. Carl's office we would usually leave with handout and the feeling that we were never listened to.
I’m so grateful to have found Dr. Carl. He has help me in so many ways with my health. I would describe him as humble, kind and just about the best PCP in Waco. Thank you Dr. Carl.
