When he called me with my test results he yelled at me and said there are a lot more sicker patients than you, you're wasting my time, and dont call my office asking to explain your results ever again. Also mentioned that he had to take time out of his vacation to call me. So rude this man. You are a perfect example of what healthcare is like these days. Retire sir !

The worst most unhelpful doctor I’ve ever seen. He literally told me I was “wasting his time.” So that was great.

I was rushed into Beaumont for acute impending sepsis. I was started on IV antibiotics by the ER doctor Saturday, and Infectious disease was consulted. On Tuesday afternoon, after I was told no one showed up to admit me. I finally get the displeasure of meeting Dr. Lauter and his 5 medical students. I couldn't get him to focus on my current infection, which was caused by a biopsy done a week prior. He was focused on an old tooth infection that I was already treated for. Dr. Carl Lauter is the Doctor you want when the chips are down and others are scratching their heads, He jumps to Clinical Mode, The Man is Brilliant and that is what just about every Beaumont Dr. I have talked to says the same thing. Dr Lauter is kind, compassionate, and cares about you and your illness. He tells it straight to you with out the medical mumbo jumbo unless he feels that is a benefit to you to understand the disease process.
