I want to share my experience in hopes it helps others facing similar difficult decisions. My dog became very sick one night, so I took her to the ER vet around 1 a.m. They told me her liver and kidneys were failing, her pancreas and gallbladder were in bad shape, and her gut had stopped working. They said she was suffering and recommended euthanasia. I brought her home on pain medication so my daughter could say goodbye.
