On Dec 28, 2025, I talked my dad in going to Tazewell Carillion instead of CVMC. I bragged to him about their ER. Well it backfired to say the least. My dad was in the Tazewell ER for over seven hours. I watched Dr. Mas walk around like a chicken with its head cut off. Other staff sitting at the desk on their cell phones. Security on computers watching stuff on the internet. Pretty poor security for real. Now there was one Nurse doing her job, but she was not dads nurse. Great Hospital and staff. Had not been there since it went to Carillon. Big difference and highly recommend.
First off let me say there are better hospitals in VA. However, as it deals with local to the area, this is the "little hospital that could". They don't have much but they use it to the beat of their ability, staff has good attitude and are helpful. This place also houses a Veterans Clinic which is great! Support our troops, current and past!
Would not recommend them to anyone
