I don’t understand the negative reviews. I have had nothing but good experiences at Carilion and have been with them since I was 14. I’ve had four psychiatrists, the first retired and I had three different residents over the four years after, and have since ended up with a doctor who also treated me when I was a resident. Such a process is not for everyone but as long as you are capable of advocating for yourself, they are very accommodating and profoundly responsive to feedback. This was the most ridiculous medical appt I've ever had. At 56 I've had a lot of ridiculous appts. I was offered a choice of 3 meds (that don't treat my symptoms by a person that treated me at the hospital for the same issues) that have been unsuccessful in the past. Told I had to choose one and take for a month before they would consider others. Told Meds that have been successful in the past are a "last choice". I wouldn't go here again at gunpoint.

I have never dealt with such an unorganized medical facility before in my life. Every month, the prescription is denied for one reason or another. The past three months it has been because "an appointment needs to be made". The appointment was made in person, at our last appointment back in the summer and has never changed. It was the same reason the time before, but the problem was the appointment actually was rescheduled due to the DOCTOR having something come up. Not per our request, but the doctors.
