Asked for a referral in March. It is July 31st and they just called today saying they had an opening. They said they had a back log of over 1000 referrals. If you are needing help do not count on them to help, go anywhere else, a mental health YouTube channel perhaps. 5 months for a mental health referral call back is a slap in the face when you're asking for help you are hoping everyday for a return call until you just feel forgotten. If you’re like me, going to a psych ward is one of the last things you want to do. But if you have to, I’m not sure there’s a better place. The staff surpassed the most optimistic expectations. They were incredibly sincere and kind to all the patients, even the ones who acted out and insulted them. Yes, mental illness sucks, and treatment leaves a lot to be desired. All things considered, it’s incredibly lucky to have a genuine and supportive team right here in Christiansburg of all places.

Admitted me when I had an accidental overdose, these people are probably undertrained and more concerned about money, don't ever get admitted to Carilion when you overdose for any reason, they'll only place you in St, Albans!

Whole hospital probably has one doctor. I waited more than 2 hrs in emergency! Just each 10 mins one minutes one intern came and ask my name.
