I suffered from herniated disc L5/S1 with extreme sciatic pain for 2 1/2 months, mostly bedridden, could stand for only 1-2 minutes and barely walk, and had lost 25 pounds. I was in rough shape. After starting care with Dr. Patel, who was excellent and began conservative care plan with ESI. I eventually had a 7th fall with injury and went to Carilion Hospital emergency room in Roanoke. Visit with/for my elderly mother. Am writing this as we continue to wait. So far over an hour past our appointment. No doctor yet, no one has a moment to apologize for the wait. It doesn't seem that busy. Meanwhile, my mother is stuck in an uncomfortable wheelchair all this time...
