My child has had stomach pain for a year… peds finally referred, waited 2 months to see GI. They did no imaging. Nothing. Told me to give her a probiotic (which she’s already been on the last 9 months), and Miralax (also given prior to see if any changes). Waste of my time and money. We contemplated multiple times going to UVA ED when my child was in tears over stomach pain, but nurse encouraged us to wait to see GI. GI doctor told us if gets worse come back in 3 months?? Do not trust these doctors. They do not listen to parents concerns and over medicate or choose more invasive procedures before less invasive ones and do not educate parents on their options. As a first time mom, and as a mom to NICU babies I wish I never trusted them so I am warning other parents to not make the same mistake I did. Find drs from other providers. I would give them 0 stars if I could.
DR. O extremely Knowledgeable. Helped my grandson. Spent a lot of time with us. Compassionate.
