Carhartt was born in Detroit in 1889. 126 years later (on August 27th, which happened to be our founder Hamilton Carhartt’s birthday) we opened our Flagship store. We are located at 5800 Cass Ave in Midtown (on Wayne State campus) in a building that is in the national historical buildings registry. My husband I really wanted this pink coat for our daughter. The problem was, that we ran into traffic on our way to the store. The store had one of those coats left. Not only did they hold the coat, they also waited for us at the door. Greeting us with welcoming smiles even though we arrived 10 minutes after closing time. This was our first time at this store, but it definitely will not be our last. We really appreciate the amazing customer service that was given to us.
All my clothes for work and play I buy here, I'm a regular at the store, they should make me their spokesperson.
Great spot.. very conveniently located. Detroit needed a Carhartt store since we've had Dickie outlets for years. Customer service at this location is always great. Looks good inside & is always organized.
(Not sure why your listed as only a children's clothing store). Went for denim bibs and you don't carry them in the store. Would be great if you did. Very nice employees and cool store
A must see in Detroit. They even have their own parking garage right next door that opens up into the store.
I have having quality problems recently with my Carhartt jeans. I called their Customer Service office and spoke with Terrie who seemed genuinely concerned and we resolved the issue to my satisfaction. So refreshing to speak to a friendly English-speaking person who cares and has the authority to do something about my problem. Thank you.
I am a former Detroit 'er and enjoy going to the city because of this store. Wearing my camouflage pants now.
