Brought my teen to Care Counseling. After three appointments, the therapist quit. The first appointment is for the parent only, the second is parent and child, the third is just the child and therapist. Not much progress is made in those initial sessions when everyone is just getting to know each other. I received a small concession for this from Care Counseling but am still disappointed given how stupidly expensive treatment is. Don't waste your time or money. Go elsewhere!
Is anyone at all concerned about the requirement to pay (in full) out of pocket at time of service despite having insurance coverage? I've never heard of a service that requires a credit care on file essentially giving them cart blanch for billing charges. My copay according to insurance is $10/visit but "contract" states one must pay in full. This makes me highly suspicious and uncomfortable.
