I was treated unfairly I am still alive but most days I wish I wasn't I am still trying to survive. I followed all rules I had a job within 3 days I was full of hope while I was in there I was traumatized when I found out that my abuser was terrorizing my family and adult children I was traumatized and my anxiety was so bad when they did not listen to my concerns I was afraid there and they lock you inside when I asked to go out to smoke to early they refused and I was sobbing threaten to call for help.i finally was let out ... read more

I just want to say I am a survivor. I have been out of the relationship for over 30 years. CARDV was just starting to develop when I was in this very violent relationship and I did not have much information to reach out to anyone. Things have changed over the years and for the better. My advice is to reach out to someone, anyone. If you do not know the person that may even be a better and safer encounter. It is one of the hardest things I had to live through in my life.
