Dr. Vernon Smith performed a heart valve surdery on my then fiance Michael Brown in May of 2001. He was 38 and was told he had an 85% chance of surviving surgery, because of his age. He was told he needed a heart valve replacement, bottom line. He was referred over to Dr. Vernon Smith for the surgery.
