Cardinal properties are very greedy. They care more about money then tenants. They make tenants clean the units even when the unit is getting updated after the tenant moves out. Doesn't make since to do a complete move out cleaning when they are going to do updates to the unit. The unit has several problems that they won't fix. The wall heater doesn't work right and it doesn't warm the unit in the winter. The well pump is under the bedroom floor so can hear it run during the night which kept me up most of the night. These folks are horrible to deal with. Absolutely awful. They have a monopoly on property management in ********, partially by buying up homes for sale so they can rent them at exorbitantly high prices. If you have a maintenance issue they MIGHT come fix it, eventually. When you first move into a house they'll leave you with a horrid yard maintenance problem, which you have to pour hours of your life into bettering, only to then take money off your security deposit when you leave because there's a weed or two. Cardinal Properties *** does business according to fair housing standards and Montana Landlord Tenant Law. There are multiple property management companies and many, many private owners in our area so stating that we operate a monopoly is inappropriate. We work hard to provide a comprehensive move-in inventory at the beginning of each tenancy, and each tenant is instructed to add or amend the inventory with anything we missed. This ... read more
I've lived in a Cardinal properties owned home for ten years. In Montana snow is going to happen. They never plow the road. Even though it's in my lease. Pipes freeze,cars get stuck. Only if EVERYONE calls and complains, they'll try to get someone out. By that time every plow is busy. so people can't get to work to pay rent.its a family owned company so they carpool,to heck with us.
