Worst service I've ever encountered. We took our bike in for a simple repair. The salesman was insulting - told us twice it was a "cheap" bike. I could've understood that; maybe it was a sales technique? However, when I came back to pick it up, the mechanic yelled out, "It's the blue one, the P.O.S!" I don't spend my money in retail stores that are purposely insulting.
Great prices on bikes and accessories The Cardinal Bicycle Shop is a great place to go for everyday bikes. They carry both new and used bikes, so if you're not interested in a bike for the Tour de France, but just need to get around town, this is the shop for you. They also have reasonably priced parts, again both new and rebuilt.
Great for Bicycle Tune-Ups The Cardinal Bike shop is a great place to go for a bicycle tune-up. I've used them the last couple of times and my bike has come out so much better, and their prices are much lower than the other bike shops around Stanford.
Excellent Service and Price My husband and I visited 5 different bike shops on El Camino Real from Mountain View to Palo Alto, with the intention to purchase a bike. This was the shop we chose to purchase his bike. Richard Yamaguchi helped us and was knowledgeable, patient, and attentive. When we were ready to buy, he gave us a great price and also discounted accessories for us. I highly recommend this shop! PROS: Good service and good prices CONS: Not a lot of high-end, high-priced bike selections
A good, basic bike shop Cardinal is the place to go for your bike or your kid's bike. And good helmets and reflective gear. And to tune up and service your bike. If you are an extreme bike enthusiast, this is probably not the place for you. Mike's Bikes is also related to Cardinal, and they carry the higher end, serious bike stuff. Cardinal is very competent. They're not warm and fuzzy, but knowledgable and well-priced. They service bikes well and are more than fair on pricing.
The Cardinal Bicycle Shop Shopping at the Cardinal Bicycle Shop makes life that much easier. The store sells good, solid bikes. The staff here is amazing--attentive and very helpful. The employees answered all of my questions and let my try out several bikes before I finally ended up buying one, for a reasonable price. Parking was a little difficult, but I will still never go anywhere else!
