When I first called they didn’t have an appointments available for several weeks. I booked it anyway as I had been calling around and the wait time seemed similar in other offices. My mother died the night before my appointment and so I obviously did not make it to the office. When I called to reschedule they told me I could not book another appointment as I missed the first one, even after explaining the situation. Bad customer service, they first call to cancel my appointment then say actually it wasn’t cancelled but never called to say that. Then for my wife’s appointment it was cancelled but they never called her so she drove there for nothing. When I called to see what happened they refuse to take responsibility for it and then hung the phone up on me. Again bad customer service onto another dentist I guess
I called wanting to become a patient and the receptionist was eager to help me until I told her I had dental coverage through the state. Then i was told they weren’t accepting patients with “that kind of coverage” at this time, but had I had private insurance I could be seen. Discriminating against low income individuals who receive discounted medical services when the cost of private insurance is astronomical is predatory and disgusting. I will be reporting this to DHS.
Dr. Cardenas is one of a kind. He not only is an excellent dentist but genuinely cares about the over well being of his patients. I wish more doctors were like him.
