I cannot say enough amazing things about the caring staff at Caravel. Learning that our son would have challenges was a very scary thought for me and my husband as we were new parents to this wonderful little boy and I had just given birth to our daughter. It was difficult navigating early intervention during the pandemic when the majority of services were web based. Finding Caravel and speaking with Erika was truly a blessing. My son started with Caravel shortly after moving back to Chicago. We were very fortunate to final Caravel seeing as though we had no connections within the Autism community here in Chicago. My son's team went right to work. They became part of our family. Constantly working to make sure my son became the best version of himself. My son was diagnosed with ASD when we went to Caravel for assessment; I was a bit turned off initially because the provider immediately began discussing the services they provided. It felt like they were attempting to sell me on something. I left Caravel with the information in hand and I immediately called my child's pediatrician (Dr. Tarnowski).
