I was a patient of Dr. Douglas for over ten years in Hendersonville. She ignored my continued complaints and dismissed my pain to just getting old. I ended up in the ER with hemoragghing from Stage 4 ovarian cancer. My last visit with Dr. Douglass was one wherein the yelled at me repeatedly and my husband and I had to run out of the office to escape her tirade. Unless she has received some serious therapy since then (3 years ago), I suggest you look elsewhere for healthcare.
Horrible bedside manner. Rude, rushed, I wasn't at all surprised to hear her whole afternoon was free when I was told that I "needed an appointment" in order to get a refill of a maintenence medication. I've been to the office multiple times, only to be told that Dr. doesn't handle any of my basic concerns. Yet I have to come in for additional appointments. An in office "visit" required to give a referral for thyroid or dermatologist, fine, but a prescription refill? Or gynecologist? Or sleep apnea?! Come on!
Rude. Dismissive. Rushy. Unprofessional. Uncaring. The reviews are accurate.
I don't recognize the doctor from some of the reviews. I have always found Dr Douglas very easy to talk with and an intense note taker. When I've needed a specialist's care she's always made sure I'm seen by the best of the best. I guess our styles click - she gets to the point, is a problem solver, and if the need arises for a change in meds or other treatment, she's quick to accommodate. I can't imagine going to anyone else.
