If I could give Dr. Cara Hollmer zero stars, I would. She is, without question, the worst emergency room physician I have ever encountered. Her behavior was appalling—cold, abrasive, and completely devoid of empathy. She spoke to me with an attitude that was not only unprofessional but downright hostile. Dr. Hollmer saw my 79-year old mother today in the Unity Point (Downtown) ER for potential stroke. Dr. Hollmer was thorough, patient, extremely knowledgeable, and an excellent communicator. She put our family at ease and demonstrated an incredible bedside manner. Six stars on a five star scale.
