I purchased an expensive radio, blue tooth, GPS nav unit from Car Toys and had them do the install. I spent over $1600 (unit and install) because I wanted it done right. When it came time to have the unit taken out, I discovered that Car Toys cut out the manufacturers wiring harness (big No-No) and spliced everything together. CAR-TOYS IS THE BEST!!! If you have had a bad experience its more likely that its you over reacting, than these guys. I have had every car iv owned to these guys and i WOULDN'T bring it elsewhere. The best customer service, and the only place, mind you, in colorado that requires there installers to be certified, sure people have mistakes but don't you all make mistakes that your not proud of? Put your faith and money with these guys and they wont steer you wrong and if they do they make it right. And that's how a business sh... read more

HORRIBLE!! – This store recently changed managers and you can tell! These guys are bozos ... I took my car in for a Navigation System update. I called ahead, made a appointment ... they said it would take an hour. One hour and 1/2 later no phone call. I showed up and could tell the car hadn't been touched. I was right ... they FORGOT about it ... seriously!! And when I confronted the manager he made excuses. No sorry, no let me make it right ... I walked out and said I wouldn't be back. novice car audio installers – I bought a used car that had a system upgrade from Car Toys installed in it. After a while, both the car audio and subwoofer amps blew out. I went to Car Toys to get them replaced with supposedly better quality amps. What a huge headache this became! When I got my car back (after having 2 new amps installed) there was a terrible engine hum sound radiating from the speakers. I went back in the store and requested it to be fixed. Almost criminal – My wife and I thought instead of buying a new car we would upgrade her like new 2000 saab with a pioneer multimedia system,backup camera and have the steering wheel controls work with the new system. The install was 600 bucks which we thought was fair. The nightmare started from there. The installer broke the air control assembly and they had to get a new one. Terrible products, no ethics – worst service ever! my bluetooth broke (ie. split into 3 pieces) within 24 hours of purchase and the manager refused to replace anything. was really hard to even get anyone on the phone to resolve the issue with. when i finally did, the manager just told me to go through the legal department- he wouldn't refund anything! am now stuck filing a claim with my insurance company. bottom line- i would NEVER buy anything at this store. car toys has no ethics.

Installation takes too long – I had a car radio & speaker install and it took over 3 hours. The rep assured me it would be done before the store closes at 9pm. But it wasn't done until 9:30 (my appt was at 6pm). I went there for the quality of the install but it's not worth the extra time and money. I won't use them again.

Devil in the Details - Highlands Ranch Store – High quality components and installation, but all at a significant (inflated) price premium. Management and sales personal are well versed in classic bait and switch methodology. Funny how they can't show you the invoiced printed break-down on components, parts, materials, and installation until AFTER you pay for it. Get the "deal" details, especially on the install, before anything gets started and don't be afraid to walk out. Overall, slimy sales experience, could do much bett... read more
