Unfortunately, like a few business of this type in the area, they won't install something they don't sell. Not very customer-friendly to me. Response edit: I get that. But it's also hard to fight off the feeling that local shops are just trying to stay alive in these hard times by getting as much money as possible from a customer. Maybe you're not doing that.
