Waitress was good...that was about it. Over priced for what it is...waited almost 40 minutes for our food, when there was only 2 other tables in there. My husband and i got the mashed potatoes because they were out of fries. Mine were dry and tasteless while my husbands came out more like a garlicky porridgey/paste like consistency

Business response:

Very sorry, Shannon, that you did not enjoy the food. We are happy our service was friendly and attentive but we wish the food had impressed you more. we know we can do better and we hope you'll give us another chance sometime. -John Konrad, Owner

OK, I try to be kind and positive when possible, so I will start with the positives. The drink I ordered Caribbean punch was really good. The bartender seemed like a very nice man even if he didn't know much about their menu. And that is all I can say positive about this restaurant. My husband ordered fried walleye and I ordered a ribeye steak. The ribeye steak was $26, that's not a problem if it's a good steak. My steak was terrible. I ordered medium it was rare which again would not even be a problem if it was a good steak... read more

Tablecloth(s) wasn't clean (we.moved from table to booth). Appetizer and meal didn't come out right. Didnt have what I originally ordered, price on my wifes Crab Legs changed after she ordered. Wine and Bud Light was the best part of the meal !

Business response:

Very sorry, Carl, for the confusion with your order. We apologize that your meal was not up to our usual standard. We know we can do better and we hope you'll give us another chance sometime. -John Konrad, Owner

Our family stopped here while visiting Mt Rushmore several weeks ago. We enjoyed our food but I want to compliment the manager John. I had to call him about a problem with our bill. He was very nice and made sure the problem was resolved quickly and for that I was extremely thankful. I hope his restaurant continues to do well in the future. Give them a try !

Business response:

Thank you, JoAnn! We are so thrilled you found your way to our place! Happy we could resolve the issue and we hope you'll visit us again next time you are in the area. -John Konrad, Owner

I have decide to offer a response to Emily Chaney's post....First off, I would like to say I’m sorry you felt your visit to Captain’s Table was subpar. We strive to provide excellent service and food. But you misrepresented yourself stating that you are a business owner, as an assistant manager of a sub shop in Irvin, Texas, you know that not all servers are 100% all the time and have an off day. You also misrepresented our menu prices. Our meals are $9-40 dollars. To address your concerns, I personally stopped at your table... read more

First off let me start off with the food tasted okay, if you were paying $5-$10 dollars a plate. The meals range from $15-$80. The salad tasted plain, with cheese probably purchased at walmart. Ranch that tasted water down probably to save on the cost of there goods. We got a glass with lipstick on it that we didn't even take a drink of yet. My Coca Cola smelled like alcohol let me remind you there wasn't any alcohol in it. So the glass was not properly cleaned. Second off let me just say you guys DO NOT belong in a Town wit... read more
