Recommendedatmosphere was nice on our first visit this past friday night. got there before the big local crowd arrived. first of all I'm originally from texas so i tend to be critical of bbq. i had the rib plate. although were tasty, they were over rubbed, overcooked and dry. the sauces, which were very good, helped them somewhat. the coleslaw was pretty much tasteless!! the greens, though tasty were undercooked. and lacked that southern seasoned flavor. i have lived in camden county since 81 and my wife was born in st. marys and lived... read more

Captain Stan's Smokehouse was a rare find! We ate there 3 times during our week vacation stay in Woodbine. We rented a home off the river through VRBO and the town of Woodbine was incredible! Such a great place and family friendly! The atmosphere, food, the drinks, and the people at Captain Stan's were all great!!!! Southern fun and hospitality at its finest!!!!
We were traveling and found this BBQ dive, the reviews were great so we decided to check it out. Its such a cool funky outside dinning joint, the food was great (and you get plenty of it) but Captain Stan was the gem of this place. You don't just eat here, you hang out here! If your ever in the area check it out.
