We specialize in New England style seafood, from creamy clam chowder to haddock and scallops. Our menu offers Daily Specials such as Homemade Lump Crab Cakes, Salmon Croquettes, and 1/2 off bottles of wine on Thursday. And we have the freshest seafood on the Grand Strand. That's right we said fresh. Our seafood is so fresh we don't own a freezer. In addition, we offer Ipswich whole belly clams, poultry, and center cut steaks entrees.

Seriously the BEST seafood! And the potato salad and slaw are to die for. We have to make a special trip here every time we come to the beach.

The BEST place to eat in Pawleys! Haddock and shrimp are the best!!!! Sides are too! Great service ! We go eat here at least 3 times while we are here!!
The food was excellent. We had lobster, scallops, shrimp & fries for our main dish and for appetizers, we had lobster crab cakes & fried oysters. We were very impressed with the food and great service at Captain John's.
The fish and chips were delicious!! As was the clam chowder!
We have been going for the Haddock Sandwich for years. It is hands down the best haddock (mild, flaky, white fish) I've ever eaten. Friendly waitstaff and you blink twice, the server puts a hot fish plate down! Try it, bet you'll love it like like we locals do!
I absolutely love this restaurant for its seafood. I usually do take out but have eaten in and the atmosphere is wonderful as well.
