At our Vidalia, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

This visit was mediocre at best! The food was warm--NOT hot. When we tried placing our drink orders, we were simply told that there was no ice. I replied that normally fountain drinks are a little cool, so we'd like some anyway. Boy, do I wish I'd heeded the warning because the sodas were hot and FLAT!!! Next, the intercom was set on some VERY OLD recording because when my friend heard Casey Kasem reading off the "current" hits, he exclaimed, "I didn't know he was still alive! Filthy place, unfriendly, no soap in bathroom, toilet wouldn't flush, employee sitting on stoop at entrance smoking. Food okay...worst captain ds ever!!
I just food from them today and once I opened my box of food and lifted a peace of fish a fly flew out…..
The grill was down. We wanted healthy grilled fish. Grill is one of the easiest pieces of equipment to have fixed. Come on guys!
