At our Plano, TX location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The food and service were ok. I spent $18 for a platter , but I got full. Everything was fresh, so I give them that.. The only reason I would give them 3 stars is because they put a coupon sheet in my bag, with expired coupons from May. Either they will honor the coupons or I guess they thought it would make me come back, then tell me they are expired and hope since I drove all the way over that I would stay and order?? Calm atmosphere and great places for fish and good chicken I used to come here regularly but its nice to enjoy it again sometimes
I have been going to Captain D's for years ( since the 1980s) and i just left there, brought the food home and the fish tastes really funny... something is definitely wrong with it.... this is not the same fish I've always had..I can't eat it... almost want to have it tested and compare to a different location... and it's the only location I know of this stingy with the condiments, charging for more than two per entree. I'm definitely not coming back.
