When in Waco put Captain Billy Whizbangers on your list for a great old fashion burger. A little hard to find if you are not familiar with Waco but well worth the effort.
After seeing this restaurant on "The Bucket List" we were eager to try it out. We arrived around 11:20am and there were 2 other diners eating. The employee at the counter greeted us and I asked if the onion rings were home made. The employee responded that no the onion rings are frozen and that it wouldn't be cost effective to make them fresh. I told him that wasn't my problem. I love burgers and heard about this place a few weeks ago. I decided that my girl friend and I would stop there yesterday on way back from San Antonio. We both had the Whizz Pig which was good but it didn't have much bacon flavor. Since the bacon is ground in with the beef we felt that if the patty would have been cooked longer the bacon may have stood out more. The fries and onion rings were really good. The service was great.
My choice for hamburger or steak sandwich in Waco love jalapeño bun sweet potatoes fries fried jalapeño I have been to a lot of burger places all over Texas I have been to most of waco burger joints I always choose whizzbangs in Waco.
Drove from Dallas just to visit. Food was great but the service was excellent. Trent made time to come greet us even with a line out the door. Keep up the great work!!
They have the best Turkey burgers in town. Great service!
Double Double basket was awesome. People courteous and freindly.
Too greasey for my taste. The tots smelled and tasted like old grease
