The person that was sent to the closing table was great. The fact that things were not ready as planned was the issue. I had two payoffs (checks to be cut/sent) and the check to my broker. All three checks were not ready. My broker was nice enough to go on my behalf to pick up my two checks and his the following Tuesday (Monday was the Labor Day Holiday). Terminated a contract with a home in Pueblo and called Capstone 3 days ahead to be sure I could pick up my earnest money check on a specific day. They said yes and that my check would be at the front desk when I arrived. I drove from Lakewood to Colorado Springs to pick up my check and was asked if I was sure I didn’t drop off the earnest money with Empire Title and was mistaken on the correct title company.
