CAP'S (see what I did there) is my favorite restaurant in town. I despise having to leave an excellent review in fear of someone taking my seats in the bar but this place is too awesome to miss. They have a great selection of food and drinks, that have always been prepared so wonderfully. For Bourbon drinkers, they have the best Old Fashioneds and a nice selection of Bourbons. Hurricane Irma almost ruined my 50th birthday celebration but Tim and his staff ensured my party was taken care of!!! Most of the guest had not experienced Caps... they are now life long fans.. like myself. I cannot thank you all enough for making my 50th birthday memorable!!! Recommendation: Oyster Rockefeller ...It gave me life!!
They beat us on draft beer. Order a pint you're lucky if you have 14 oz after the foam settles.
I've been to Caps many times. And, everything is a 5 star. Yesterday. Not so much. The wait staff. Was 5 star. But the food, not. Dry fish and old tasting. The oysters. Were way overcooked. Asked for lightly steamed. Caked out like little leather pieces. I will not stop going. I believe the quality of the food was a result of the hurricane.
